As you can see from this Sunday morning photograph, Miss Samantha Jane Noodles is none too excited about A. the time change; and B. the recent cooler weather. I can't do much about the time, but I decided it was time to make her a new sweater.
Originally, it was going to be knit up in SD Charger blue and gold, but since I bought the yarn after the game Sunday, it is instead being knit in a lovely fuchsia and violet. This is the neck and the beginning of the body. Next up, I'll bind off two openings for her front legs where the "sleeves" will be attached. I know it sounds/looks/seems lame, but she really does love her sweaters.

Do your dogs like wearing sweaters?
just the little one - she has short hair and gets cold easily! I'd never try to put one on the labrador, though.
Mine (a Bichon) loves to wear little shirts in the winter, too. Now I need to learn to knit!
That's going to be one lucky doggy with her new sweater.
My daughter bought her dog a faux leopard fur coat. I've posted a few pics here at my other blog. Be sure to scroll down after you sign my Guestbook! {grin}
btw, sage has been encouraging me to write more so I ran across a book I've been meaning to read. I'm sure you've already had a write-up on it that I missed because you couldn't have possibly missed out on "Marley & Me".
Don't know how long it will take me to read it but will do a write-up afterwards.
If I had a cool pink sweater, I'd wear it all the time too.
Love the pic you posted on my Guestbook! Thx!!
btw, we won't tell Bailey, but he's a SHE!!
*giggle*
I love dogs in sweaters, I think it's the sweetest thing. Are you using Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride?
tiffany - knitting is great! I'm starting a class on lace knitting tonight
karne - whoops - SHE is a good looking pooch
mishy - consider it done
la - good call, it is Lamb's Pride Worsted
I'd say poor doggie for being dressed, but I'm sure your dogs are used to it by now. You don't dress the lab do you?
How does one get on your sweater knitting calendar--it's November and is suppose to get nippy around here soon... and now I see Karen is blaming me for forcing her to write (it might get her mind of a particular shurb down there in the White House)
RE: your pic in my "map."
Cute outfit Ms. Antionette. Yes, let 'em eat cake, but if it ain't carrot cake, off with your head. Also--it says your from S. Cal, but it has you being from Mississippi! lol
edit - sigh - of course I don't put Hanna the lab in a sweater! sheesh . . .
Sage - carrot cake it is!
