After spending a few lovely days in NYC, I headed up to Albany and met the group for the hiking trip through the Berkshires. Overall, a nice group of people, especially after the two alcoholic 60 year old men from Miami decided a walking tour wasn't really the best trip for them and found an excuse to go home. (Seriously, they showed up with no packs, no rain gear and no water bottles . . .).
Here are some photos of our last day of hiking, including me on top of Mt. Allander.

How far did you hike?
edit - the hikes were about 6 - 10 miles each day.
Diane, I think you and your hiking group is ready for the next level up. The next time East, consider the White Mountains.
Diane, you'll have to tell us more about your hiking--it would have been nice to have hiked through there in the fall with the color.
Getflix--the Whites are wonderful, after doing 25 or so miles a day through Vermont, when I hit the Whites, I did 17 the first day, and about 10-12 more a day till I finished the Presidentials.
flix - I'm guessing they are taller than the 2100 - 2500 foot "mountains" we were scaling? Mt. Allander is about my speed!
Sage - will do! the last day we were at an outdoors store and there was a local guy speaking who thru hiked the AT this year
Those pictures make me want to leave back east. God it is just so pretty. So are you Diane!
Sage, getting up and down a Presidential in one day seemed like a good goal ten years ago.
Diane, the Whites offer a huge array of of elevations. But a 4000 ft. mountain does offer some fantastic views of the bigger hills.

They showed up on a hiking trip without gear?! Thats funny... although, I shouldn't laugh. That sounds like something I would do.
Love the photos of your hike! Beautiful stuff!
That middle picture could be a postcard.
The east coast is so gorgeous this time of year.
Re: the two hikers who showed up with no equipment...WTF?
Next time to NY you should checkout the Adirondack Mountains. When I was growing up we used to go camping there and we hiked White Face Mountain. Great pics
Gorgeous photos. And you're quite a hottie yourself. You look like you've been working out!!
