The great thing about bulbs is that you never know what may emerge from the soil in the Spring. Last year, (or the year before?) I planted a potted pink Calla Lily, and I am unduly excited to see it return this year. Every day, I check to see the progress of the flower, and this is where it stands today . . . .
'Tis true, simple minds, simple pleasures . . .

Your garden must be the envy of the neighbourhood, Diane. Calla Lillies are what my friend is having in her bouquet at her wedding.

I remember reading a poem with the line "flowers are the earth's laughter" or something like that. It's so true.

Very nice. If it weren't for my gardeners, my yard would be a barren wasteland.

Michele sent me,

What Mish said. Your garden must be the envy of the neighborhood.

Silly Mish, she spelled neighborhood wrong, eh.

And Calla Lilies are the greatest of flowers. Except they should be spelled Cali Lilies. Because, clearly, California is the greatest state.

FIN.

V: North of the border we put "u"s in everything. It makes us special. And correct spellers. Ooooh... Snap.
