I decided to give the blogger video feature a try. Here is a video I took in the Galapagos Islands a few years back of an Albatross courtship. There is no sound, (this was an old camera) so what your missing is the sound of the clacking of their beaks together . . .

The bigger bird to the left is the female.

Didn't you feel a bit like a peeping tom photographing this? Great shot, how close were you to the birds?

Oh, man...I would REALLY like to go to the Galapagos. Was it expensive?

sage - the animals in the Galapagos are so oblivious to people, it's as if you're not there! Maybe 20-30 feet?

edit - there are a bunch of companies that do trips to the Islands - all price ranges. It is definitely worth it.
