Spring is in the air! Well, at least my flower bulbs are beginning to emerge from their winter slumber. This is an old photo of Hanna with my gladiolas in bloom from a few years ago. My gladiolas are coming up again, along with the new tulip bulbs I planted this year. A friend gave me some daffodil bulbs, and I have my first flower. . . .

are those portholes? you don't live on a boat, do you? there's still plenty of snow on the ground here (with 3 more inches added last night)
They are portholes, but I don't live on a boat! Just an odd architectural touch circa 1949 to the house
That looks like a poster of Hanna.
Stellar photo as usual. The flowers are truly enchanting. You truly have a green thumb. And glad to see Hanna isn't shy of the camera.
Diane, it's like 5 degrees outside now, not counting the wind!! So this is the time of year where I am actually jealous of all you Cali chicks!
Fortunately, they claim we are about to go through one of our unique NE transitions and hit 40 degrees Saturday and be at 60 degrees by Tuesday!! (We're counting the hours!)
Great photo!
It was 69 degrees here yesterday! The air was so soft and mild it made me want to run naked through a field of flowers. Not that I ever would. I haven't seen any fields of flowers around here and I get bad hayfever around nature and I'd never get naked where anyone could see me. eeeek! But anyway I'm glad spring is here.
Oh and those are some cool portholes. I bet your house is really charming.
Those flowers are either really huge or Hanna is really small.
Just like Getflix, my area is supposed to be coming into some nicer weather tomorrow. Thank god.
mishy - the gladiolas do get really tall! Not to worry, Hanna is normal Lab sized
I totally dig the portholes! My orchids have some buds opening this week. Yea spring!
You write very well.
