My first Bird of Paradise bloom. And see the guy jogging in the background? 10 seconds after this photo was snapped, my neighbors' Miniature Pinscher started chasing him down the street. To his credit, the guy never even broke stride.
Speaking of jogging, thanks to the inspiration I got from V, the dogs and I went for a jog this morning ourselves! But the truth is that I run so slowly, that even the little one never has to break out of a trot . . .

being chased by a minature dog? Oh the indignity of being a jogger.
I am sure it has happened more than once to the dude.
Jogging will make you skinny and strong. Of course it will also make you sweaty and mess up your hair which is why I don't do it.
prunella - oh I will have to increase my speed by ten fold b/4 there is any sweat or hair mussing involved . . .
ffleur and getflix - better the Min Pin than the Rotties and Pits in the neighborhood!
The last time I took up jogging I managed to sprain my ankle. I am such a klutz I also managed to fall off the treadmill. I hate exercising!
I don't know much about flowers or plants but that Bird of Paradise looks gorgeous. More flower/plant posts! I mean if you're taking votes.
And even simply walking is a good source of exercise. But if you can gradually ramp it up to jogging and then some running, you'll benefit even further. Man, I want some dogs to run with. Umm, could I borrow yours?
Way to go on the jogging!
v - I have been good the last 5 days - walking alot, running a little, and working with weights. Besides the lemon bar I ate today at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, I have also been eating healthy and limiting my calories. I feel great, and plan to keep it up! :-)
