Tonight was the final show of The Wire, pretty much the greatest drama ever shown on TV. Start with season one, and enjoy this Dickensian portrayal of inner city decay. I swear, you'll thank me.
I've never watched it either, but then I'm to cheap for expanded cable and on the basic package you don't get HBO. Yesterday, driving home from a nearby city, I listened to a NPR interview with the producer. It sounds good.

I don't know why, but I've never watched it.

It's in my Netflix queue. I haven't gotten to it yet.
I have to watch HBO shows at a later date on DVD.
But the TV critic I read loves The Wire. Here's a link to his blog:

I haven't watched it yet either but I like Dominic West. Damn, he's fine!
