From my friends at the Natural Resource Defense Council . . .

We must stop the Bush Administration's plan to declare open season on the wolves of Greater Yellowstone and central Idaho. Once approved, Wyoming and Idaho intend to begin exterminating up to half their gray wolves -- by aerial gunning and other cruel methods -- as early as this fall. Submit your Official Citizen Comment, opposing this disastrous plan, before August 6 by clicking

Perhaps we attempt to modify the natural cycles of the planet's ecosystems too often. Once an area is determined to be a true nature reserve, we should limit our direct involvement.

Pardon my language, but that is very fucked up. Is the gray wolf population too high? Or higher than what the government wants? What is the reason for this? Does George Bush actually hate *everything* that is good or is he just too stupid to understand *everything*? Is George Bush actually an evil robot sent to threaten the fate of the future?

So many questions... so many questions...

Mishy - The Bush Administration's view of the wolves is that they are "vermin" and the governor of Idaho and others have announced their attention to eliminate every wolf over 200 (which is the minimum number for the wolves to be exempt from protection once removed from the protection of the endangered species act). His rancher buddies - who are compensated any time a wolf kills any of their livestock - complain loudly - even though much of the time when a sheep is killed, the ranchers are grazing their herds on public lands - not their own property - pretty much for free.

And in answer to your questions -

Does George Bush actually hate *everything* that is good or is he just too stupid to understand *everything*? Is George Bush actually an evil robot sent to threaten the fate of the future?

My opinion is yes.
