Countdown to the Who, Day Two.

I was a freshman in high school in 1975 when the movie Tommy came out. The most common t-shirt on high school girls at Fountain Valley High School that year was Roger Daltrey as Tommy - shirtless, standing on the mountain, arms spread . . . . I was not alone in my huge crush on the dreamy Roger, and I tuned in to watch him on Wonderama. I was devastated when Roger revealed in the Wonderama interview that he was an ancient 31 years old . . . Now, 31 years later, I’ll be renewing my crush on Roger this Saturday night at the Hollywood Bowl, and hopefully they’ll play that final song from Tommy that accompanied his climb to the top of the mountain . . . See Me, Feel Me/Listening to You

See Me
Feel Me
Touch Me
Heal Me
See Me
Feel Me
Touch Me
Heal Me
Listening to you, I get the music
Gazing at you, I get the heat
Following you, I climb the mountain
I get excitement at your feet
Right behind you, I see the millions
On you, I see the glory
From you, I get opinion
From you, I get the story
Listening to you, I get the music
Gazing at you, I get the heat
Following you, I climb the mountain
I get excitement at your feet
Right behind you, I see the millions
On you, I see the glory
From you, I get opinion
From you, I get the story

I was a senior in high school when Tommy came out (actually I may have been a freshman in college...)

I remember Rod Stewart's song, "Rock and Roll Never Forgets" I think I was around 27 when it was popular and dating a 31 year old woman--and those lines rang true: "Sweet 16 turn 31..."

I hope they play your song from Tommy.

Came over from V's blogs.
