End of the day at work, and I'm listening to Green Day's American Idiot before I start the drive home down the 405. Having come of age in the late '70s, I have never quite overcome my fondness for punk rock music, despite my over 40 status, and it's nice to see some punks still rocking. Long live Green Day and Social D., and here's wishing more of the Ramones and the Clash were still alive.

yeah, me too. i miss being able to hear the music everywhere, too. amazingly my 16 year-old son loves punk old and new. it does a mom's heart good :)
Diane - Did you see them last fall when they played Home Depot Ctr? They were great, it was a totally great show.
I had always thought that they were stealing from old punks like the Stooges, the Kinks and others. But heck, those bands don't seem to have a problem with Green Day, so neither should I. In fact, I really love the American Idiot CD. Quality stuff there.
