Since Nanners and Noodles were becoming better known as Itchy and Stinky, they each got a bath this morning. The good news from their point of view, is the after bath treats I am holding in my hand to entice them to sort of sit still for their photos . . .

I don't bathe Shirley much as beagles need to keep the oils in their skin to stay healthy. But I did get her anal glands squeezed once and it made her go insane. She ran around the backyard rolling in the dirt and whining like crazy for a few weeks until her natural stink came back. I'll never do that again.

Damn, I just woke up, and you've already bathed two dogs? God, I'm lazy.

That said, the girls look cute staring earnestly for their treats.

pru - Samantha had that done once - her's had gotten infected and were super swollen (stop reading here if gross things bother you)- when the Vet squeezed, it sprayed all over . . . his face. I thought I was going to vomit

la - If you would like to start getting up at sunrise, I can lend you Hanna for the night!

Oh god. Pru and Diane! You two have successfully convinced me to never look into veterinary medicine as a career. Wow, Diane, I would have puked. Did he say anything after? Wait, maybe I don't want to know.

Like LA, I'm also impressed that you've gotten so much accomplished.

Dogs look so mournful after a bath. As if you have just hurt their feelings to the extreme.

I don't think I'd have my hand left if I bathed my cats!

I also have to use treats to get Wally to look at the camera for photos. And he also just got a bath. Softest. Dog. Ever.

On the anal gland note, a friend has a sketchy pit bull and it has issues with men. And by "issues" I mean that when one comes into the house that he doesn't know, he tends to pop his own anal glands. Don't ask me how.
