I spent a couple of hours walking in the wetlands this morning, and these are some of the things I saw: a young bunny - scratching itself and having a nibble . . .
Wildflowers, including red monkey flowers, and these pretty white flowers . . .
Great Blue Herons in a tree, and lots of American Avocets . . .

sage - And with Easter just around the corner! The bunny really was cute, though :-)
The bunny is really cute. He let you get that close and snap a couple pix? So much for being a wild hare!
la - I did use my telephoto, but I was pretty close
What an adorable bunny! Your photos are awesome. I feel like I was walking along with you.
Wally would have been all over that rabbit.
prunella - thanks! it was a lovely way to pass a couple of hours
edit - Hanna too, but this was on a dog-free path
What a great way to spend a Sunday morning. I should visit the local nature trail nearby in Fullerton. I'm lucky enough to have plenty of wildlife visiting my backyard: opossum, squirrels, colorful birds, and although I've not seen one - I've smelled skunks.
Cute bunnies! I haven't been on a hike in years.
Great photos! :+)
