I spent a couple of hours walking in the wetlands this morning, and these are some of the things I saw: a young bunny - scratching itself and having a nibble . . .

















Wildflowers, including red monkey flowers, and these pretty white flowers . . .









Great Blue Herons in a tree, and lots of American Avocets . . .

The bunny is really cute. He let you get that close and snap a couple pix? So much for being a wild hare!

What a great way to spend a Sunday morning. I should visit the local nature trail nearby in Fullerton. I'm lucky enough to have plenty of wildlife visiting my backyard: opossum, squirrels, colorful birds, and although I've not seen one - I've smelled skunks.
